Do you really need the MSD? Does it give you noticeable extra power or better mileage. The only time I ever used one was on my 72 240Z. I noticed a little difference, but nothing earth shattering.

I replaced heads in 2010 at 232k because of minute cracks near the cable seats when removed to replace a gasket I broke between cylinders 4 and 6. Still the same lower block. Original tranny lasted that long as well. Rest of drivetrain is still OEM tho they are starting to drip fluids now.

A little bit for stock but has power for future upgrades and it gets me a complete burn which is good for my cats and sensor data.
