did these trucks have winter packages on them? today as i was looking at the steering box they replaced i noticed a plug shown in the picture ive never noticed on this truck ? the only thing i can think of is a block warmer am i right or way off? 2011-09-20_18-08-12_828.jpg

it looks factory from what i can tell i also looks as if it was never used but was this an option or a mod?

I have one. My cap is still intact though. Not really sure what the point of it is in the states on a gas engine.

1998 and im now stationed in NJ so i would use it be pretty cool to see if it works wouldnt have to warm my truck up anymore

They came as an option and are very easy to install if you dont already have it, which you do.

Yeah man. mine came stock with one. i live texas so i definetly dont need one! haha. i got a build sheet on my truck from a friend at GM my truck was built in mexico and shipped north for sale. thats why mine had a block heater put on it.
