Hi gang! This is my very first post. I've been following you guys for months after I got my truck. Gotta tell you, y'all very helpful and I appreciate the welcome..
So, I got a 09 Tahoe XFE (supposed to be 1" lower than the standard hoe) I just slapped some 26x10 with an +25 offset wrapped on 305/30/26 and it sits pretty flushed with the fender. I want it lower.... I have kids and don't pull anything. Looking at the 2/3 drop kits on 26" looks how I want mine to sit but not lower than that. The question is, since I started 1" lower than most other Tahoes with 2/3 on them, what would be the best kit to buy? I looked at some 2/2 spring drops (paddler I think) but some dudes get like a 3" drop with them after they settle and that's a lil too much for my taste.
Right now I sit 38" floor to center fender lip in the back and 36.5" in the front (floor to center fender lip).
I load some pics as soon as I figure out how the he!! to do it :):)

If those are your measurements after the 26ys then yeah you are about an inch lower all around than regular Tahoes. I say get just get a 2/3 spindle-coiil drop. Easiest and will ride the best. The only thing good from Pedders is their rear coils, their front drop coils are a no no. The only good way to drop the front on these is with the use of a spindle.

I had the same issue. If you go with a spring-only drop kit, you will wind up with a 2/3 drop from the original height, or a 1/2 relative to where you are now. If you use spindles up front you will wind up with a 2/2 relative to where you are now. For that reason I went with springs all round and installed the full Pedders kit and have been quite satisfied. I don't know where the above comments come from; the front coils seem fine to me. The Pedders shocks may be a little stiffer than they need to be, but the handling is a lot better than before. FWIW I have the 18" wheels that are standard on the XFE and the only rubbing is one point on the right front fender liner and I think it only rubs when I hit a bump with the steering turned to the right.

Are the XFE's lower due to different/lower springs from the factory? If so retaining them when introducing lowering components will yield an extra inch beyond what the kits springs would offer.

Welcome to the forum, BTW! :Handshake: I look forward to seeing the pics too!!

I don't know how is the XFE model dropped, but if GM drops it using different springs and I were to drop it using a set of aftermarket springs wouldn't that put me at par with the rest (like great white said) since I'm changing springs all the way around?
Everything else being equal I should get te same end results....

I would suggest finding out how GM lowers the XFE. You may consider the Balltech adjustable stuts up front, you can adjust your drop in .5 inch increments up to 2.

As far as the rear goes if GM used a lower spring then just replace it with the lowering spring of choice. If you are interested in the Belltech 2/3-4 kit with struts and rear spring PM me, I can get you a killer price

Oh,and to load pics, when you post a reply, scroll down to "manage attachments", pop up page will allow you to browse and load pics

Ok, Here it is...09 XFE, stock height, white bow ties, 50% tint shield 5% back window 15% everywhere else and Magnaflow 11256.

I think it needs a 2" drop all the way around....
