check out stangkilr on youtube....hes been building the shit out of obs chevys lately. has been installing qa1 suspensions and that rack on a few of them iirc

That’s where i found that rack from lol.
I watch all his work lately. Makes me keep spending money. But with the LS swap (future) the rack is something i gotta do. Figured while i have the front end getting completely rebuilt, may as well do that too.

hows the 4l80 hunt coming?
another nod to atfspeed, talked to them this morning about mine...needed forward drum, pump, gearset, clutches throughout and a few other things. with the shafts i provided its *only* going to be like 2300 to get it back together.
less than i was expecting. they are a little backed up at the moment but racing off season is their busy season.

Haven’t really looked much else. Still waiting on the suspension to come in so i have some time.
I did call ATF. Nice folks. Cheapest option they had was $4k~. Got quotes on 4L80, 700r4, and gearvendors. All pretty much the same. That’s parts only. No install. They don’t do installs anymore.

Small update that i was happy about. The truck has aftermarket LED lights which hyper flash. I always corrected hyper flash by wiring in resistors. But came across a thread on GMT400 where someone had the same issue and swapped the flasher relay to an EP36 relay.
So i went and got one today and swapped it and hyper flash is gone! Such an easier solution.
Now I’m contemplating not installing the front valance i got and putting the OEM style one back in with the 454 fog lights.
