Good morning,

SO, im looking really hard at a 2000 Tahoe, 4x4 5.3L, currently has about 145,000 miles on it, is otherwise mint, rust free, Fully loaded, factory tow package. THe owner says that he just replaced the transmission, looks like it has been well maintained, all the fluids look good.

Now, I have seen a few things that are common with Tahoe/yukons, primarily transmission failure and ABS system problems?

What kind of life can i expect out of this thing, and are there any problems/issues that I should expect, or should have already been repaired?

At its age and mileage, should I buy it?

+1, we need price. I wouldn't pay a penny over $6,000 and that's in MINT condition

He's looking for $7400 (Canadian tho)... and all cars/trucks here are significantly more expensive.

If its in MINT, which I don't know how it could have ZERO rust in Canada, then offer $6,000 or walk. IMO

My neighbor had 268K on his Tahoe. So, if properly taken care of you can get a lot of miles out of the trucks.
