Yukon Denali 3rd Row Seat Removal

Hi and thank you - I also have a WeatherTech cargo liner but am having trouble imagining how it will look with the seat gone. Please upload pics if possible.

I'v been pleased with this setup. There's obvious better solution than just throwing a cargo liner down but for what it's worth I'm happy with it.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the 3rd row seats on the '15+ fold flat into the cargo floor.

I think I may be missing something here. If the 3rd row seat is removed, isn't there a significant depression where the seat was? If you put stuff on the cargo mat doesn't it sink down? Also, I do like the way you tucked the rear edge of the cargo mat under the loading scuff plate, although access to the rear under floor compartment is tough. Thank you for the photo.

To be completely honest I never noticed the Depression until you pointed it out. If you're OCD about it you could cut a short piece of plywood too fit in the segment under the matt. Right now I have a cooler back there, a case of water and a backpack and nothing is sliding around or falling over.

I did this on my 2017 Yukon and I just bought a 2019 Yukon and removed it as well.

I prefer the lower height and flat, level surface for loading. I rarely have even 3 passengers so the 3rd row was not necessary.

Great post. The mandatory third row seats and raised load floor are a major drawback to the new Tahoe. I will make these changes ASAP.
