Wow. I would never do that to my Denali but to each is own... Why weren't the front tires spinning? I always thought that the Denali/Escalade AWD system would spin both fronts when the rears were spinning?!?!

It looks to be a 2WD which isn't uncommon now

for all of you that are wondering why the front tires are not spinning you have just seen the difference between awd and 4wd...and good old traction control...the reason why denalis and Eskys are not meant to leave the pavement.
No, 2WD and 4WD.

I guess I was expecting to get flamed when I posted this.

I know how to off-road and have other cars/trucks for that but this was just a spur of the moment mistake. I have been off-roading multiple times in the Denali..this time I just took the hill at a low speed and didn't lower my tire pressure as I was in the middle of nowhere.

People say the same thing about my Range Rover (and other luxury SUV's), but I think otherwise.

I found it amusing. As other have stated I also would not do that to my Denali. The only real rookie mistakes other that the wrong vehicle was spinning down after it stopped moving and not pulling in a straight line with the vehicle trying to pull it out.

So glad you got that off of your chest.

BUT, I still disagree with you! Especially when I read "People say the same thing about my Range Rover (and other luxury SUV's)". Guess the young man is now bragging about his wealth.
