Yukon Diesel + Maximum Tow Package - Anyone??

Hi,

I'm looking for a Yukon SLT or Denali with a Diesel and the Maximum Trailer Brake Controller (Tow Package). It seems to be impossible to get that combination, especially with model years 2021 & 2022.
Does anyone have that combination? I would like to be able to comfortably tow a travel trailer and for that reason I want the OEM Trailer Brake Controller. I know there are 3rd pary solutions out there but I'm not interested in that. Doesn't want to deal with this.

What's the point of selling Diesel SUVs without the trailer brake controller. Doesn't make any sense to me. Yes, not everyone wants to tow but at least should be able to do so comfortably.

Wondering if anyone here got a 2021 or 2022 with the Trailer Brake controller included. Seems to be a fairly rare combination.

I have a 2022 Yukon XL SLT with both. Both items were on constrain for a good portion of the build period for those years, so I imagine that is what is causing the "mismatch" that you are seeing.

Why don't wait until model year 2024 comes out? The engine will be upgraded to LZ0.

aahhh the good ole days when an OEM brake controller wasn't even an option...that was part of the fun of buying a new truck, installing a new tekonsha brake controller.

understand the deisre to have it integrated into the dash, but that'd be a tough basis to pass up a vehicle on

I have a ‘22 Yukon XL w/ diesel and max tow. I got lucky and found it on the GMC incoming inventory site last November.

The option has been on constraint for the better part of ‘22 and off and on in ‘23.

Why wait? There aren't enough differences to talk about... Have read on other sites that LZ0's are throwing more codes and causing more probs than LM2's have....and... can't get parts....

I have a ‘21 SLT with both the tow package and the diesel. I think I got lucky as I caught it on transport in may of 2021. Restrictions came soon after

I have a 2022 Yukon Denali with Duromax and tow package with integrated brake controller. Was able to order it that way. We pull a 21' 4500lb travel trailer and get an average of 17+ mpg. We don't take trips unless the wind is blowing in our face so I am pleased with that mileage when consistently towing into headwinds. Every so often we find a quatering wind or even a crosswind but the norm is a headwind.
