Sounds like your A/C is working, the issue is with fixing the correct blend door actuator and it should be calibrated with a bidirectional scan tool. Bite the bullet and take it to the dealer.

What Mike said. ^^^^

There are 4 actuators for the front AC and many people call all of them blend doors which is not accurate. There are three actuators on the passenger side. There are two for the rear AC. You have to perform the calibration after installing a new one.

Where exactly is the engine misfiring? Which cylinder?

So to start this off took my truck to the mechanic I had spark plugs changed fuel injectors changed the coils and wires changed I still have a miss I know that the engine has a lot of miles at 250,000 miles I talked to one mechanic today about the miss he said that I probably have to change out the cam or perhaps the valve need changing out but he wouldn't know anyting until he did a compression test my first mechanic told me that I possibly have to change out the lifters

Secondly it's a hundred degrees outside in the AC just went out in this truck the compressor is coming on I just changed out the blend door still no air anyone out there have any ideas on what I need to do on the air and this misshttp://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5f0cf6abcdb09/20200709_073919.mp4

Need to diagnose the miss with a decent scan tool. I don’t understand a mechanic jumping from ignition components to valves and a cam, rockers..? I’d start with air, fuel, and spark. Sounds like a start was made (spark). What about fuel - besides the injectors. Fuel pressure ok? Fuel filter changed recently? I’d do the filter right away if it hasn’t been done for a while. Should be fairly cheap and easy.
Hopefully the scan tool can tell you more but it just seems odd the mechanic would be talking about internal head components already.. [emoji2955]

ETA: you already replaced all the injectors??

Hey guys, isn't 250K miles a little excessive from the engine's point of view. I know that engine's are made to go further now days, but 250K? It may make more sense to get another engine and start over...given that the body and chassis are still in good shape. What do you think?

Unless the engine has major issues like worn main bearings, rings etc. If it's using large amounts of oil between changes or has a big loss of compression, otherwise I wouldn't look at putting another engine in it yet unless you have alot of money to spend. My Dad's 04' Z71 Tahoe has 245,000 miles on it, no issues, leaks and runs like a champ. We have another family member with a 96' Z71 that has almost 400,000 on it, leaks a little oil but it stills runs strong. Pick one issue at a time, diagnosis it with the help of a good scanner and go from there.

my 03 silverado that is now in my sisters hands has 245k+ on it, doesn't leak a drop or burn any oil, it does have a broken off exhaust bolt on each side which is typical but never did anything to that motor but change the plugs and oil and drove the piss out of it, I abused that the hell out of that thing and it's still going strong.

Hey guys I got some new news took it to a mechanic today he did a compression test and told me that a valve was bad and he eventually told me that I would really need to just put another head on there so any advice on getting a used head

There are three blend doors under the dash and one in the rear cargo area. This model is famous for torque converter is going out and it feels like the engine is missing. Are you sure about the compression ratio is on the cylinders. I replaced all the ignition parts on a 2011 5.3 just like you and turned out to be the Cotton Pickin torque converter going bad but it felt just like an engine Miss
