I'm going to pick up a set of PIAA bulbs for my 2008 Yukon. Do they install from under the hood and you need to remove the air cleaner box, etc; or does the headlight unit come entirelly out from the front, or. . . .

Thanks!

You don’t have to remove the whole headlight. I have found that it is easier to just remove the top 2 bolts holding in the housing. Then you can pull the light out enough to stuff your hand down there. Your other option is to unbolt the washer fluid resovour and you can stuff your hand behind that, but it is a tight squeeze. On the other side you just have to pull the air box, but again it is very tight.

I think ideally you would want to pull the whole light, but that is pretty time consuming. If you just unbolt the top too bolts of the light, be careful not to pull it out to hard as it is still bolted in on the bottom, but it flexible so it can be done.

Also, another good option for a halogen bulb are the DDM Tuning bulbs. MUCH cheaper and have a lifetime warrenty. PIAA stuff is over priced in my opinion
