Well... so the grill installs!

However, yes the light housing brackets do not fit and neither do the fenders as the contour at the corners are shaped for the tahoe lights specific. If I didn't have to fork out for the bermuda blue painted fenders i'd have already ordered the brackets and duplicate black grill as seen on the Yukon. Maybe another day.. As for now i'm getting a set of black depos to replace the halo+LED lights that only accept an H1 bulb.. EDIT: I couldn't test the hood, however it *looks as if it would work.. would have to have the brackets mounted and lights installed to know for sure. Here's some photos:

Do you plan on changing bumpers or are you gonna leave the big gap between the bottom of the grille and bumper? (I'm referring to the area below the parking lights)

Theres a reason when people do front end conversions they get the entire front clip (fenders, hood, bumper, grille, light, mounting panels) because just some of those parts will not complete the job.

I dont know why youd want to change a Tahoe front to a Yukon unless youre doing a Denali. Tahoe front looks better all day long. You could say "yeah but nobody has done it", but in that case, just buy a yukon.

Dale,

Already have a Yukon and think the front ends looks better than the Tahoe. To me the NBS Denali front end looks feminine.

This topic was introduced because there isn't easy to find resources stating facts as to whether the swap requires all components and why - thanks for stepping in late.

Reminds me of this truck. Instead of doing a proper conversion you're just "making it work"

(This truck looks way worse in person ^^^)

As long as you're happy tho go for it, it is your truck.

As for the Tahoe I'm working with - it also has it's own battle wounds and character.. after all it's a truck and not my baby - have 3 of those to care for already. It goes w/o comment some people deeply care about scratches, bumps, and hairs outta place. Being rough around the edges my trucks imitate some of my own characteristics as well. That said, I could care less about comparing how smooth your bumper is or man-scaped your front-end. Just looking for a little experience from those who tried this or that, what works, what doesn't. Thanks for the initial guidance and opinions.

The facts have been touched on a million times on this forum and GMFS. Ive been here since 2012, Been doing body work at a GM body shop since 2008, and Ive given input on just about all of them. As you've found - to do a conversion you need all the components to do it RIGHT. That's like saying, well, this seat from a cobalt physically fits where my drivers seat goes so it will work. Yes, but no, it doesnt. You need all the parts that have been stated for years.
