aloha ladies and gents.i have spent the last few hours trying to find an answer on here and the rest of the interweb, but to no avail.(anyone else but me think the search function on most forums is kind of weak? all words 3 letters or less are too short or common? "z71 fog lights" becomes just "lights") any way, got a new front bumper from lmc, z71/diesel.got it painted and mounted up, now im trying to track down some lights.LMC seems to have them($120 for both)i have spoken to 4 reps from LMC.2 told me they include the mounting brackets and will bolt right up, the other 2 reps say the exact opposite...anyone on here know?
thanks-nh-

It depends on the year......
2000 Tahoes came in two body styles the Old Body Style and the NBS new body style.
The 1995 thru early 2000 gets its foglights in the bumper.
The late 2000 stylre onward gets its fogligts under the bumper in the front valance.
The in bumper fog lights(OBS) are available for around 100 to 120 a set shipped.
They do not have the mounting brackets which is actually a mounting bucket that fits inside the bumper from the backside. BTW, You'll need to have the bumper off the truck to add these buckets/fog lights.

NBS fog lights have intergral mounting brackets as part of the lights.

I have a spare set of GM OBS fog lights with the mounting buckets available for sale.
Also have a spare fog light switch available, another hard to find part
Let me know if interested in either.

Use Google to search the forums. To get the exact phrase, enter the entire next line(at Google.com of course), and use quotes:

"Z71 fog lights" site:www.tahoeyukonforum.com

To get the three words in any order, don't use quotes:

Nate,
I can go $160 + shipping on the lights with mounting buckets and $40 on the fog light switch.
Let me know your zip code to calculate shipping costs.

Are you adding these to a truck that had lights already or do you need to get the harnesses as well?

Search the Interior section for a thread by me on foglights, I just went thru this same add about two months ago and located all the parts and part numbers to add foglights to a 1997 thru 1999 OBS that did not have foglights from the factory. Its a bit pricey but pretty easy(skillwise) to accomplish.

Nate,
Guessing you have a tailgate/lift gate versus barn doors.
if so those are most likley the dash end of the rear wiper harness and the rear lift gate harness.

Good news/Bad news, Good news, the 2 GM harnesses you need to add fog lights are available just not thru GM.
Bad news they're expensive, about $300 plus all together.
You can try an aftermarket harness company for around $100 but I have no experince with that

You also need a differnet plate for the dash where the foglight switch fits in.
I'll dig up PN and get back to you.

Also, I am not sure if any one is aware, but The olds bravada of the 96-99 era uses what looks like the exact same fog light as the limited...

Do a google image search for 98 olds bravada fog light.

We all know GM interchangeability...
