z71 vs standard grille

I want to replace my stock chrome grille on my 07 Z71 with an all black one. Every one I find online says it won't fit the off road package. Can someone explain what the difference is? I really don't want to deal with painting my stock one.

i don't see why it wouldn't. looking at newgmparts.com it looks like that parts are interchangeable.

My guess is it has something with the bowtie setup. Appears that they are inset or something on one and not the other.

I replaced mine with the oem black LT one (still has chrome surrounds), fit perfect

Saw this one for your z71. It's a black fuel off-road grille from 4wheelonline. I am not sure if it's your style.
