That did the trick. Had to order the connector nut at a local dealer. Arnotts are in, and they ride well. Wasn't too bad of a job.
Paid a local spring shop to swap struts in the assembly.

He said I should have just brought the entire assembly. Much easier.
I said, no thanks, I want to keep my 150,000 mile cush cush springs.
$100.

Rides nice with the old springs.

From the education my alignment man gave me
You can F up the electronic struts wiring that goes into them
if you aren't careful when installing the strut cartridges into the
strut housings.... I've got all new parts that I'm bringing to him to
have him disassemble and reassemble my Z55 stuff. I got new struts, springs,
mounts, boots, etc.. So this should be the only time I have to do this (to this car)
