I am think of purchasing a 2025 Yukon Denali with the 3.0 Duramax and have concerns about the coolant and oil leak problems that have been reported. I talked to a GMC service manager /friend and he said that the leak issues have been an ongoing problem with the ZR0. He also mentioned that GM will likely drop the baby diesel altogether in the near future. Any thoughts or experiences with this engine?

He must have his head in the sand because the petrol models have had 10 times the problems that the Duramax's have. I neither would take this guy's advice nor use him for service....

I asked him how the problems compare in magnitude to the gasoline engines. He acknowledged that the ZR0 is much more reliable than the gasoline powered models. He just said that they still are getting ZR0 vehicles in weekly with the oil and coolant leaks while under warranty.
I will still get one and hope for no leaks.
