ZW7 Nivomat replacement spring question

Hi all,
first post here, I have a 2001 Suburban RWD with the ZW7 "Nivomat" self leveling suspensions.
I'm trying to convert them to traditional suspension, planning to mount Bilstein 4600 front and rear.
I found a pair of springs that are GM labeled with part number 15008265, but can't figure out if they are ZW7 (weaker) or Z71 (stronger), anyone can help please?

Welcome to the forum Pino. ZW7 AND G65 is for the Nivomat self-leveling shocks with the lighter springs. If you had ZW7 only, it would have regular shocks and springs.

That part number was replaced by 15182553 and does indeed appear to be for a 2000-2003 4x4 Suburban with ZW7.

@Pintoni, post up a pic of one of your rear shocks. Are you sure it's a Nivomat?

I don't have a pic of the rear shocks right now, but I'm pretty sure they are Nivomat (they are pretty thick, almost twice the diameter of a regular shock, I can take a pic later today)

here's the service parts sticker, I have both ZW7 and G65 codes, so I think I have to replace the rear springs with the firmer ones to convert to traditional shocks.

Appears so. Grad a VIN from a truck with the configuration you're wanting and run it through GMPartsGiant or GMPartsDirect to be absolutely sure. I ran the PN# through GMPartsGiant and showed you what I came up with.

ooh that's a great tip!

the "donor" truck VIN is 1GNFK16TX1J237500 , it appears from GMPartsGiant that it's a 4wd, so it should have the stiffer springs, hopefully.
I didn't think about checking that in person, I guess I'll do a second trip to PnP...
