2007 Navigation Radio

Hello. I cant seem to find any instruction on the Navigation Radio in my 2007 Denali. I have a question. As I am driving, it shows the current road I am traveling on. My older Garmin unit showed the upcoming crossroad instead. Is there an option that I can chose from that will tell me the upcoming road instead/also? If I am driving along, I most likely know the road I am on, and it would be most helpful to know whats coming instead, besides just looking at the map. Sometimes the next road is not on the map.
