On the modern mouse build that super chevy did they got a junk yard 5.3L, stroked it to a 383, twined it and it made 963hp and 868 ft.lbs. at 12.8 lbs of boost. So if my build ever gets close to that id be one happy ass camper. You can look up all the things that they did to it, it really made me have more confidence in the 5.3, saves a lot in the long run i think being able to use this motor rather than having to get a newer bigger one. Im even more stoked because this motor has way low miles on it, so its a good platform to go off of.

I was told by Justin at BB that I shouldnt go any higher than a 3000 on my stock tranny. But when I start building I wass go up to a 6 speed ( eyeballing that TCI 6x transmission) and 4.10s

With that 6x tranny they take a 4L80e and swap internals to a 6 speed that can handle 850hp. It has its own computer and you can have paddle shifters if you change out your steering wheel, which I want to do (quick-release) But if I didnt do that tranny I would just do a built 4L80e

So I decided to go with the Circle D 2600-2800 stall with a tru cool 40K trans cooler in stock trans cooler location. Just gotta save my pennies now.

After the stall and cooler I want to do a retrofit because my PnP kit is pissing me the hell off.
