    Competition Mode active

Competition mode on Corvettes is basically you can slide the rear end without it trying to immediately gain traction and murder you but it will also save you from overdoing that slide into a ditch. It's surprisingly okay at its' job.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

There is always the story of the transmissions that work until you change the fluid which gets rid of all the friction material built up over time.

    Replacement Battery

My understanding has been that virgin lead scarcity/price is the reason for batteries being trash the last 10+ years. You have to spend quite a lot on an enthusiast lead acid battery to have one that rivals the old days for longevity.

    Replacement Battery

Somehow I left it out of my post but originally the battery was bought through Smicklas Chevrolet, dealership my friend worked at, and they got bought out and are now Classic Chevrolet. We took the truck to Bob Howard GMC and they were a separate dealership that honored the warranty. I was also...

    Replacement Battery

Any dealer should be able to honor that warranty and I just dealt with this last year. The new dealer didn't want to do the full longer battery test and the battery would just squeak by on the quick test. We had brought it in for a trans flush and specifically their longer battery test while...

    Lug Nut replacement...

Just in case anyone else was curious here is the OEM capped variety right next to the OEM solid chrome variety. Both are 22mm but one sucks and one doesn't. I added a capped lug nut to the wheel in the second picture to show how easy it is to tell them apart in person. The capped lug nuts are...

    Lug Nut replacement...

GM sells solid lug nuts that are nice. I used to be able to pick up a set on eBay for $30-50 but my last set cost me $82 but included a lock set. These are a dramatically better lug nut and I have a rubbermaid tub with hundreds of the crappy capped variety.

Show off your 2015+ leveled Tahoes and Yukons!

I think if you are coming from working magride then it will feel far softer in a good way but it may also make you immediately want stiffer sway bars also (like me). Overall a definite improvement.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I haven't really messed with TPU and under-hood environments but some ABS blend is still my go-to for high temp areas and most car things I print. I feel like when I got into printing like 2016 or 2017 everybody and their dog was trying to steer every new would-be-printer away from ABS as it can...

2015 buying advice, what to look for?

My 2015 Denali does speed up and slow down so did they really make 3 different levels of cruise control in 2015? I would also argue that most of the time while I don't mind the adaptive cruise it is absolutely brutal about minor things causing it to absolutely demolish your momentum if you are...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The best deal I could find was from JBTools on Amazon because I had a big Amazon gift card refund to spend. In my specific experience the Hellwig feels much better and I believe it to be a stiffer bar as well compared to the Hotchkis. I had a weak customer service experience and had the wrong...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I got my Hellwig sway bar in a couple of days ago and I am pretty shocked at how improved the ride and handling is. I can't really say for sure that I ever got a fair shake with the Hotchkis but it WAS a positive improvement over my 10 year old stock bar and bushings at first at least. The...

Tire Noise Reduction -- Any Experiences with Fender Liner and/or Fenderwell Treatments?

I may have to give the extreme version a try but my guess is that it really comes down to how long it sits in the heat and since I'm in Oklahoma there are weeks straight where the outside temp never drops below 90 degrees. I should have also said that the thinner fatmat I've applied over the...
