    When I lived in California, I always had a 'back up" transportation... A motorcycle. No matter where I lived, I could stash it anywhere ( mostly a garage)...... I had it for 2 reasons..... If I was working on my truck, and also if there was a big earthquake, I could get around.

    Yup... I did go in the water..... It did take a while to get used to it, but as you say, ..it's then , alright.... But, as a kid, surfing was not going to be my hobby ! Due to the incredible roads in that area, my hobby became motorcycles !!
