Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

After a hard stop do you let off the brake roll forward abit before holding the brake peddle down? This will reduce the chance of warping. High carbon rotors help to reduce warping as well. I have all the parts to upgrade to 16" PPV 6 piston Brembos in front & 4 piston Brembos in rear on...

    73 Camaro

Pulled engine and transmission, finished the welding the firewall driver's side to allow the 2011 Camaro clutch/brake/gas assembly to bolt on the 73 Camaro firewall. Brake booster is from the 2011 Camaro. Since the TR6060 6 speed manual transmission doesn't have a slip yoke I used a 2004 Ford...

Never seen this before - Parking Brake Shoe Replacement Help

Should always replace brake pads in pairs including e-brake pads. The poor quality of new parts these days require "fine tuning" to make work. After verifying show arc & cables are good I would sand down the high spots.

    Premature Rear brake pad wear

How many miles on the brakes? Most likely sticky calipers or light foot pressure on brake peddle while driving. I have 120K miles on my original brakes with 50% pad left front & rear on my 2018 Yukon Denali.

    Weathertech Mats

I've designed & had 6 personal homes built in the last 40 years with me doing some of the work. I've fired subcontractors for subpar work. You have to go to the buildsite daily.

    Weathertech Mats

Quality & durability are independent. Something can be very durable but the fit & finish can be of poor quality with bad alignment or unfinished surface.

    DOD delete but keep VVT?

I deleted my AFM/DOD 40k miles ago but kept the VVT on my 2018 Yukon Denali 6.2L/10 speed. Unless you are going with a big cam VVT will give you better performance thru the rpm range. I have more power from idle to redline, quicker throttle response and better gas mileage. Never see a tank...

    Weathertech Mats

Hit the 120K mile mark on my 2018 Yukon Denali that still looks like new. Been wanting the WeatherTech floor mats even though there are way cheaper options. The quality & fit are excellent, time will tell on the function and durability.

How many miles on original brake pads?

I'm now at 120K miles on original brakes but have the 16" front rotors with 6 piston Brembo calipers and 4 piston Brembo rear calipers just waiting to be installed. I do get to speed quickly and tend to speed up thru the curves with good visibility but I let off the gas when I see a slowdown...

Show off your 2015-2020 lowered tahoes and yukons

Still running the factory struts. The spindles don't change the front suspension geometry. I'm now running 305/45/22 General UHP tires and already put 30K miles on them. Awesome tires.

    73 Camaro

Started the new year with a couple of purchases for my 73 Camaro. Doug's Headers LS 3" stainless steel exhaust is arriving the 9th. I used their trans crossmember for the LS/TR6060 install and this exhaust is designed to work with their crossmember. Classic Auto Air is custom building a...

    How to stiffen suspension/stop swaying?

I had to remove the jam nuts on my rear Hellwig swaybars as well. These swaybars are worth the money.
