HELP.......HOPEFULLY SOMEONE HAS AN IDEA..
Yesterday went to start the truck in the garage and it was DEAD. No power steps came out, No click to the starter, No dash or screen light up. The dome lights came on. Thought maybe by fluke a dead battery so charged it for 2 hours. Still the same nothing worked except a sound of a selinoid when I push brake and starter button. So thinking so much damn computer stuff I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes. Then reconnected it and all good. No check engine light or code flashing. All the settings are the same as far as I can see. OH ya...6000 miles on it..

I have an up date that maybe someone knows about this.
I have external WIFI blocker ln my house so no one can access my system or any thing in my house connected to my wifi. So apparently when GMC GODS try to do updates and they can't access my truck it triggers a dead battery or theft program and shuts my truck down till I reset the computer by removing the negative cable for 30 seconds.

I had pretty much the same thing happen to my 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate with a Duramax. I brought it back to GM dealership where they fixed it within 4 days. My one sensor was tripping another sensor even while my truck was off. Then it kept draining my battery completely. So I jumped it and let the alternator charge it kept the truck running for a bit. Then the second time it happened was 1 day later and I flat bedded it to GM. They had a dealer fleet vehicle available ready for me while my truck was on its way up to the dealership. Get them to test the sensors but It will have a bunch of codes too that lead to the sensors being defective.

It unfortunately can happen as we keep getting more technology and more computers running our vehicles these days.

I still love my 2023 Yukon Denali ultimate despite the mayhem I went through prior to getting it.

Are you assuming this or is this what GM told you? That would be terrible to know that if GM can't track my car, they'll automatically disable it. It would seem that this should be an option enforced by the customer in the even your car is stolen. Even then, I'm sure the thieves have already ripped the GPS antenna and swapped the ECU.

There are settings in the infotainment to turn off vehicle update downloads in the background. I have not had any problem with battery drain, but I've turned those settings off just in case.

Not only is this incorrect, but any time I hear someone share this kind of networking jargon it’s an instant “I don’t know what I’m talking about and had my grandson log me into my router then I followed some YouTube videos to secure my network”.

Even if you had the wherewithal to set up a firewall to block things, the vehicle pulls the updates which you’d have to block in both directions, and even then the vehicle will fall back to the cellular network to install updates.

Do everyone a favor, cool your jets on connecting unrelated dots and making immature comments like “GMC GODS” in all caps.

I got a chuckle from the “external WiFi blocker” part.
