I’m wanting to make sure I have the right ujoints. Uj235 are the joints that I ordered but I was thinking this ring in the shaft is for the outside snap rings correct? The ones I took out are inside snap rings. The hoe is a 2008 ltz 4wd. Steel driveshaft. The ujoint at the bottom is the one I’m thinking I need. Thanks for any help IMG_2480.pngIMG_2481.png

the internal groove you're looking at I believe it's for the nylon that holds the factory u joint caps in. the ones for outside clips should be thinner.

The giveaway to the shaft having the nylon injection set up is the little injection holes on the ears. The only replacement set up that will work now is the inside clips, just like what came out of it.

When you go back together, I would always clean the inside of the ears with a fine file to make sure there is a clean/flat surface for the clips to slide in against and to make sure the clips seated properly on the u-joint cups.
