I have an 08 tahoe that started having an issue when you would sit in the driver seat you were unable to adjust the seat or pedals but you could adjust while outside the vehicle. Now they will not work at all. Anyone found a common wire that shorts besides the one that chafes on the lumber adjuster? Thanks

You can examine the wiring harnesses underneath the dash and seat for obvious signs of chafing but I suspect a bad connection at a module or something. Do you have access to a bi-directional scan tool to pull the BCM codes? Do you have an Iphone with the CarScanner app?

No I don't. I'm in the process of taking the seat out and going through the wiring

I had a similar issue with my 2011 Tahoe LT. The front passenger seat was stuck in recline. So after a little research on YouTube university, I started thinking about the switch that controls the seat functions. So I used a multi-meter and determined I needed a new switch. Got one for cheap on RockAuto and viola! Problem solved. Glad I didn't have to buy a new seat. I also heard that the stopped selling the motors for the seat controls.

I can't comment on the pedal adjustments. My ** is not equipped with that.

Hope this helps.
