Big Mama needs new tires - need feedback on new size

My 07 Denali needs new tires and I’d like a little softer ride in my old age. She currently has U2-55’s size 22x10 with 305/40/22 tires. She rarely rubs, mostly on right rear under load. I’m thinking 285/45 but wanted feedback on your experience with size and comfort. She’s lowered 2” in front and 3” in back. Front and rear liners have been modified.

I’d stick with the 305s personally I rubbed worse with 285s then I did with 305s

I’d keep whatcha got on the rims. You get more rubber on the ground and lower profile.

Thanks fellas. I definitely don’t want to rub. I used the calculator to see what might be a bigger sidewall. I have all season tires now so I’m wondering if a different compound or type might help?

I’ve replaced all of my suspension in the past year and kept the stock setup so I think that part of ride quality is solid.
