PCV Valve replacement HELP - 2013 Tahoe LTZ

I have been having horrible fume smells for months and a slow pil leak for months. Pretty sure the leak is the main seal which is scheduled for replacement next week. I want to check the PCV Valve for gunk as I'm sure it's never been cleaned or changed out. My fuel efficiency is horrible and the fume smell gives me a migraine. I've checked my header gaskets and checked for exhaust leaks and it's all good.. Can anyone tell me if the PCV Valve is built into the Valve cover and can it be individually changed? All i can find part wise is the hose. I can clean it with a plastic brush and brake cleaner but I don't wanna screw anything up

there is no pvc valve like old cars have.. the valve cover is just a oil baffle. no moving parts, it needs to be a good because it's full bore vacuum from the intake, the trick is. your engine should be sealed, so sucks a lot of air from one side and pulls fresh air from the other side, from the clean filtered air and after the mass air flow sensor, so it's metered and the ecm knows how much

if your truck smalls badly of raw fuel, you probably have a leak somewhere, if it's more exhaust and rotten egg smell. it's running rich.

running rich can be any of a large number of reasons.

What engine?

Define "fume" smell. Is that exhaust, or raw fuel?

Have you had a look at the fuel trims, or the MAF reading in g/sec at idle?
