I run 22” Defenders (not the 2’s) and I feel like they ride like butter. Winter tires going on in a few weeks though (Blizzak DMV-2’s) so we’ll see how that goes.

DMV-2 are pretty quiet…and the truck is a beast with them on. Hard to think of putting them on right now…it’s 6:30pm on Oct 20 in Minnesota and the current temperature is 77.

Yeah the DMV’s came off my F150 I’m just curious if I notice an audible difference from the defenders. They are indeed great winter tires.

Same weather here in Nova Scotia though not quite as warm. Sunny and 23C/74F today.

Nova Scotia winter weather is bizarre. Sometimes we don’t see snow cover until well into January but regardless we get a lot of rain, snow, ice combinations. Not uncommon to see 20+ degree temperature swings where it will be a blizzard, pour rain, and then flash freeze all in 24 hours. We do get the occasionally thunder and lightning lol. Needless to say, they use A LOT of salt and brine around here.

Got a 2023 High Country Suburban and yeah - it's noisier than I expected it to be for the money.(My old Lexus RX has less noise). Waiting for my Bridgestones to wear out and hoping Michelins will make a difference.

I'd also check whether you're in auto 4wd or not. There's some mechanical drone associated with the auto 4wd at speed from my experience.

Morning!

I just took delivery of a 2024 Yukon Denali about 2 weeks ago. Now, I came out of a Bronco so road noise was a given. That said, I want to make sure I'm not crazy. I feel like for the money (despite it being a full size body on frame brick) that there is too much road noise. I have fixed running boards and i feel like the majority of the noise is coming from the lower section of the truck. It could also be the Bridgestone tires.

I have had a multitude of GM trucks and i feel like they were all quieter. Gaps look good, weather strips are good. I am also unfairly comparing it to my wife's GLE which is an egg but it is dead quiet inside.

Dealer says "its normal. these aren't really quiet trucks."

I love it otherwise. So tell me I'm crazy and it's normal. PFA

Thanks!

We bought a 2024 Denali Yukon Ultimate 3L diesel, and it too had some road noise, we had the dealership do the environmental package and spray the undercoating which seemed to quiet down the noise a bit. But the road noise is mainly the all season performance tires.

I would download an app on your phone that measure decibles. I was just watching a video on the 2025 High Country and they were getting 57 decibles on the new 24 inch wheels at 55 MPH.
It would be interesting to see what you are getting.
If it is a lot higher, at least you can tell the dealership that you have a data point and your vehicle is a lot higher.
It is easy for the dealership to blow you off if it is based on your feelings, but if yours is off the chart compared to 57 decibles at 55 MPH, at least you can give them that data point.
It would also be interesting to see what other people are seeing with different tire combinations.
BTW, I love that color combination. That really looks awesome.

Below is a chart of different SUV's. I got this from the youtube channel "Car Confections". They have a website that they post this information to.
