I looked at the video you posted and he sure made it look easy. That sucks it didn’t work. I wonder how many others had the same issue as you did. I sure hope they don’t give you any crap about returning it.

It should have worked but the allowable tolerance is off or the housing has some kind of wear that makes it stick, probably would have to replace the housing and the cylinder at the same time maybe. The old cylinder was only a tiny bit sticky with my original key which is worn the new key and little bit of grease seems to be working fine

Circled back around to install part of the steering rack stiffening kit. This metal forked wedge thing required the removal of the front diff, so yeah that was fun to yank out and shove back up by myself laying on the driveway. At least the stiffener went in with no drama. I forgot to order a new clamp for the passenger side steering rack boot, because I don't think I can get the current one off with out destroying it, and it needs to come off to remove the rubber bushing.

While I was tinkering around I swapped the AP stainless muffler back in on. The MBRP muffler sounds great from the outside, but drones too much in the cabin. I'm still thinking about grabbing one of those QW mufflers and playing with that to see if it actually kills the drone.

That clamp can come off and be re-used! Just stretch out the clamp tab a little with a mini screwdriver and it will pop apart with some massaging.

I used a mini end cutting pliers like this one to tighten it back up.

Is the bushing stiffener noticeable?

That clamp can come off and be re-used! Just stretch out the clamp tab a little with a mini screwdriver and it will pop apart with some massaging.

I used a mini end cutting pliers like this one to tighten it back up.

I tried my hardest with picks and a long thin flathead, but the guts of that clamp are between the rack tube and the frame, and I just can't seem to get it unclasped.

I just took it for a short drive to listen to the exhaust and didn't really test out the steering. To be honest, my bushings are probably fine as-is, I just wanted to upgrade the experience.

Looks good. Hope that flexpipe stays sealed for years and years.

Did they just weld the factory Walker clamp to the exhaust pipe, to the right of the v-band? That's kind of ingenious.
Factory clamp was cut out and this replaced it so the y pipe can still removed if needed
Not sure what the fresh piece is he added I walked over to the store while he was doing that part, the old piece was rusty looking
