@Zarati
Nice score guy.
I stumbled across an '07 Chevy Suburban 2500 4x4 at our local dealer in early 2017. It has the 6.0L with 3:73 axle ratios.
One thing: Do engage your 4x4 BEFORE you need it.
Ours is very quirky and seems to take some back and forth twisting of the dash button while stationary to finally get the 4x4 dash light to go steady, and not flash.
Usually, I hear a Clunk when the axle lock kicks in.
We put on Goodyear M&S mud tires on it early 2024, and they do work well in the snow, and seem to be wearing even. We bought them at Walmart. hahaha
I run BFG mud terrains on my Jeep and Ford F350.
One more thing:
If you have the electric rear hatch lift, ours failed a few years back. The hatch wouldn't lift.
Yes, our local Chev dealer wanted $1,800 for the Fix.
These forums here is where I learned my Fix, after taking everything apart including the lift motor clutch solenoid to check it.
Wound up being the Latch on the hatch.
The latch is a mechanical wizard of small plastic gears and limiting switches. I took it apart to see how it works. Simply amazing and complicated.
I purchase the "AC Delco" latch on RockAuto, put it in, and put everything back together, and it hasn't miss a lick since. No, I didn't get the Latch "programmed."
Total Latch repair cost was I think $330 for the ACDelco unit.
The fella who posted his misery and Fix was here on these forums. So, I joined to share my joy.
Best of wishes, and Happy Holidayz
