Well, I bench bled the master cylinder the other day, got all the air bubbles out. Installed it today--wasn't able to bleed the brakes yet--but the damn pedal still goes to the floor, and it barely stops. Same exact thing it did before changing the mc. Gonna bleed them tomorrow. I really hope that'll finally fix it. Anyone have any ideas? It's not leaking at any of the 4 calipers--or anywhere else that i can see. Everything is dry.
try making a one man bleeder set up. its how i bleed brakes when im alone.

I had help. I was able to bleed 3 out of 4. Ds rear, bleeder wouldn't crack open and I didn't want it to break--you know how it goes. Other 3 bled fine. Pedal still yhe same--right to the floor. Doesn't stop any better then before. Funny--I paid a mechanic to fix a rear brake line--the one i couldn't bleed--it was leaking at the fitting. It's still leaking. I tried a few times, last time and i couldn't get it to seal correctly, that's why I paid someone else to do it.20241207_152604.jpg20241207_152732.jpg
Same crap. I'm not sure if this is the reason the pedal goes to the floor.

Replace that section of brake tubing w a new piece and high pressure compression fittings. Not a bad job to do

Hi guys, hope everyone’s been doing well. I’ve been away for a few years.

Still have my 2007 GMC Yukon

The beast pulled my 20 foot enclosed trailer 2500 miles from Seattle Washington to Dayton Ohio

I installed an equalizer weight distribution hitch on the trailer with the real nice heavy duty ball Mount hooking it to my truck

I also had a local shop in Seattle installed an auxiliary transmission cooler, which I’m sure really really helped coming over those three mountain passes where my transmission temperature would’ve definitely overheated without it

I’m curious about LED headlight lamp replacements for my 2007 Yukon

I’m wanting to replace all of the bulbs in the headlight assembly with LEDs so that I don’t have to ever mess around with changing them again probably for the life of my vehicle

I’m sure you guys know the best brands where to buy them which ones to stay away from which is why I’m dropping in besides saying hi hello and answer any questions on my trip and how my rig handled pulling that trailer across the country

Happy holidays, everyone
@StrkAliteN you are in the 00-06 subforum, you'll need to post this in the 07-14 forum for better answers. Nice looking truck!

Smokin' gun, I would bet on...

I once had my mechanic do some front work to my 99 Silverado and he somehow left the brake hose with too much slack. The next day my brake pedal went straight to the floor on the first light leaving work, with very little brake power. I was able to stop by a Home Depot and then saw the the line ruptured because the rim was making contact on the line, and abraded it away.

If the hydraulic system has a leak, it can't possibly build pressure (or not enough pressure, depending on severe the leak is.)

Im actually scared to mess with it. What should take a few hours usually takes me a whole day--or longer. The other brake line flare I did wasn't right, and I couldn't get it right--thus the Teflon tape. Who knew there was so many different kinds of flares.

Does the Tech2 read transmission codes? Also--if there is an issue with the trans, will the cel come on--or no?
