What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Hard to say, I have no idea what this would cost to be professionally done. I paid $35 for the media blaster, $28 for the Walnut shells, and $7 for a bunch of rags at Harbor Freight. The vacuum adapter I put together and 3D printed made the job a LOT less messy and easier. Without it, I'd be picking shells out of....everything. If anyone has a 3D printer and wants the STL file for the adapter, just let me know!

I'm still hunting for a spacer for behind the GMC emblem on the Denali grills so that I can 3D scan it and have an STL for that, too. Seems like that spacer is like unicorn teeth with these Yukons.
How much time did it take you... not including the intake removal, just actual blasting?
I've had everything for a while but have just been delaying it due to time commitment. Just curious how long it took to clean each port... roughly.

Honestly it'd be hard to guesstimate how long it took, because it was a learning experience for my son. Even with all the "See, this is how this works, and this is how that works" talks, it took us about 8 or 9 hours spread across 2 days. If it were just me, since I've already done it a few times? Maybe 30 min per port, if that. I would blast them, give it a good soak with break cleaner (maybe 10 minutes) to break anything else loose, soak that out with the rags (vacuum+brake cleaner= potential vacuum bomb), then blast it again. Blasting doesn't get EVERYTHING, but does get most of it.

I had the same issue! But after realizing how much it needed to be massaged to get it to fit, I decided to look at Silverados with the same headers and realized they didn't have the same issue. They have a different joint, and found one at the local pick a part fit cheap. Highly recommended.

I had the same issue! But after realizing how much it needed to be massaged to get it to fit, I decided to look at Silverados with the same headers and realized they didn't have the same issue. They have a different joint, and found one at the local pick a part fit cheap. Highly recommended.
Wish I knew ahead of time I already hammered this sucker, no patience lol

I totally get it! I was def in the same boat. But after I hammered a little, still had rubbing, hammered a little, still had rubbing... I got tired and thought; there's no way that they designed the headers this way if they rub on every vehicle. So I got to googling and saw that Silverados steering shaft looks different.

Wish I knew ahead of time I already hammered this sucker, no patience lol

I got my Hellwig sway bar in a couple of days ago and I am pretty shocked at how improved the ride and handling is. I can't really say for sure that I ever got a fair shake with the Hotchkis but it WAS a positive improvement over my 10 year old stock bar and bushings at first at least. The hellwig in the front so far seems like a much stiffer bar (based on how heavy it is) if I had to guess and it really corners noticeably better now and just overall feels good.

I will freely admit that the Hotchkis bar is noticeably nicer for fit and finish. There was even a spot in the steel and powdercoat both right where the bushing would sit that was sharp and I sanded it smooth with a flap disc BUT Hellwig managed to pack the right brackets, bushings and hardware with my sway bar so that's a clear win for them over Hotchkis just for that. So far I've driven it pretty hard including a lot of harsher-than-necessary cornering both up and down grades and the bushings are still in place and the Yukon feels better than it ever has!
I just had to cancel my Hotchkiss order because they keep extended their time frames. First is was 3 months, now it's 5 months. Where are you finding Hellwig bars? Worth the price difference to go up to the Hellwigs?
