So I don't drive my truck much... maybe 3000 miles a year. Anyway, I keep a battery tender on it in the winter and start it up once a month and let it run until it gets warm. So I went out to start it the other day and saw that the battery tender had become unplugged, and the battery was dead.

I grabbed my battery booster (Noco BoostX) and hooked it up, and went to start the truck. Battery was too dead and so I had to use the override mode on the Noco. When the Noco engaged, I heard a small "pop" sound from somewhere in the engine bay. I cranked the engine... good long steady crank, but no joy... no spark? no fuel?. Very weird, this truck always runs, and now I am wondering if the Noco might have burnt something out.

Any suggestions where I might look first?

PS: Not a mechanic, but between YouTube and patience, I tend to muddle through.

Follow the Pop! First check is battery cables clean and tight. Next check fuses. Remove air cleaner and check you are getting fuel. Attach spark ckecker to coil wire. Justa few quick tests that may help indicate which direction to go.

No spark? No fuel? No check for spark and fuel? Clean your battery cables, charge and or replace battery if still no start check for spark with a spark tester and fuel pressure.
