Hi all,
Wanted to share my experience looking for new tires, in case anyone else is facing a similar situation.
2023 High Country, Mag Ride, NO Air suspension, 22” OEM Carbon Flash wheels (+28 offset). I was searching for the largest AT, triple peak/snow rated tire I could fit. After searching this forum I narrowed down to three sizes:
1) 295/50
2) 285/50
3) 305/45
I read at least one post from a Denali owner who said he fit 295/50/22 on stock Denali’s wheels without issue. This was my first choice as it was the largest of the three options. Did a test fit and these absolutely would NOT fit. The side of the tire makes direct contact with the upper control arm.
Next, we test fit the 285/50. Had about a quarter inch clearance from the upper control arm, and a tiny bit of space (maybe 1/8”) from the inner wheel liner at full lock.
I decided to go with the 285/50 (knowing the 305/45 would be no issue, I decided to risk the 285/50 as they are larger) and test any rubbing in driving conditions. About 100 miles in and have had zero issues.
Choose the Toyo AT3 and love the look. Night and day appearance difference compared to the stock Bridgestones. I’ll post a pic later this week if anyone is interested.
