Hi All

took a 2025 RST 5.3L for a test ride. had the RST capability package and comfort package.

On the sticker it has zero mention of adaptive cruise control. yet it had it! what gives ?

Rode good, like the dash vs the Yukon. good layout, don’t care for the glossy lacker in the center console (scratches) but overall nice truck!

Possible trade for my 2023 Duramax.

I just got a 2025 RST with the 5.3L last week, I already miss the 6.2L I had in my LTZ.
First thing was a Carbyte for 8cyl all the time and auto stop/start disable-which I didn't even perceive on the test drive.
And a Valentine radar detector.

RST I think is sweet spot pricewise. so may features now standard that were optional on the previous model year.

my idea of a "test ride" and others vary deeply lol
If I am going to test ride a vehicle you can bet your bottom dollar it's going to go thru some paces

If I'm test driving a loaner or demo of a new model or refresh to see if I'm interested, I'm going to find out how it moves. But if I'm test driving a particular vehicle because it might be the one I buy and take home, I'll take it a little easier, because I do like to follow proper break in procedure.

One perk of living in DFW is that GM's Arlington plant where these vehicles are assembled is literally 30 minutes from my dealer, so you can buy a new-new Tahoe in North Texas that never even saw the inside of a rail car. When the 2024 RST 6.2L I was waiting for came off the transport truck, I had already scheduled a test drive and it still had assembly stickers on it dated just days prior. It had 5 miles on the odometer and plastic on the seats waiting for PDI when I showed up. Definitely the newest vehicle I've ever bought counting from the time it rolled off the assembly line to my cheeks being in the seat for test driving. I was the first and only customer to drive it and had the opportunity to break it in proper from just 5 miles and barely a week old, so I test drove it like I was already starting the break in procedure.
