    Got around to peeling my tahoe

    35 cans, but i recommend using a gun. I've dipped about 10 cars now with the gun. The quality is way better and it comes out as smooth as a wrap. You can even use a wagner paint gun if you wanted. Would take 4-5 gal of dip through a gun. I used dip coat, but probly a quick detailer would work...

    So after much debate, I decided to peel the plastidip off the tahoe. I was impressed by how easy it was to peel after being on the truck for about a year. Held up through snow, salt, mud, tools, and the woods. Left the paint underneath in great condition! Before: After:

    Yes, most noticeable is that it takes a deal of force off the pedal. More responsive because it doesn't have to pull the mech fan also. Mpg went up a tad, the A/c blows better when sitting still, truck warms up faster.

    No, just remove the door handles, drill out the pin and go to Home Depot to get bolts and nylock nuts that fit in the pin's old location

    Take a razor blade and scrape most of the tape off the molding, then adhesion promoter on the molding and new double sided tape. To take them off easier, use fishing line in a sawing motion

    2002 Tahoe Front Bumper Build

    Eh, it works... and for the money i'd say its worth it. Modding it definitely helps out, I only have the two pieces of tube on each side to prevent the dimpling. As for the steel its 1/8" so that it would crush before my frame does in the event of an accident. Strong as hell though!
