Good point... So the system must have a media player to read video files from the SD card? If so, I have plenty of movies I could load for longer trips.
We have the rear entertainment package.
Doing some research and might use an RCA to HDMI convertor. Or maybe just tell her to bring her iPad and be done with it. ;-)
It wasn't really a requirement for us, but now that I see it includes wireless headphones and the ability to play FM/XM radio I think it will be useful. Our daughter also likes to stream on her iPhone. Has anyone found a good way to pump that iPhone video into the rear seat entertainment?
I...
We rented a suburban this past week for a road trip. There was noticeable buffeting from 15-17 mph. It happened like clockwork, but luckily my wife never noticed it. If that's the only speed it happens at, it's no big deal. Now, if it happened consistently at a common cruising speed, that...
UPDATE: Just pulled the trigger on a lightly used (11k miles) '16 Denali in Iridium Metallic with all the options I wanted except ACC. $60,500
There may be better deals out there but I certainly couldn't find those deals in the color and options I wanted.
Looking forward to delivery!
Had my heart set on Iridium Metallic, but it's proving difficult to find in the price I'm willing to pay. I'm also a fan of the whites, but feel like they look a little too much like a luxury vehicle and lose some of their bad-ass-ness in white. Maybe aftermarket black 22's would solve that...
So the dealership is balking at my negotiation attempts on the 2016 demo Denali. MSRP is $78k so fully loaded. They are currently at $64,500. I started at 59 and when that didn't go well, I asked if they'd come down to $62k. I know it's a high dollar MSRP but 7k miles is a lot and I think...
:hahano: Yup, I was just joking about that.... We do a decent amount of road trips to visit family. Not a ton of traffic on the interstate we travel, but when there is it's nice to use adaptive cruise to stay with the flow of traffic.
Adaptive Cruise on the BMW 550i was spectacular. The...
Had it a previous 5 series BMW and loved it. Will be interesting to see how well GM implements the feature and how many miles I can sleep while driving.
Good eye... they made a mistake over the phone, but it does have rear entertainment.
That said, I will probably just get a nice iPad headrest mount or something similar.
Just when I thought the prospects were dim. Found a loaded Denali in the right color with the right options. Demo car with $7k miles being sold as new. $78k MSRP and going to see if I can pull off something close to $60k. Listed at $64,500 currently. Has pretty much every option except rear...
Called and visited a few shops today. One local shop had a '16 Denali in the right color with every option I needed EXCEPT adaptive cruise, which I definitely want for the longer road trips. Between that and the lane keep assist, I'm hoping to get some good shut eye while driving. ;-)

I sold my Toyota Tundra expectedly yesterday and am now scrambling to nail down a deal on a new Yukon. I am looking at well optioned SLT or Denali and am working hard to stay at or just under 60k plus TTL. The rear entertainment isn't important to us (just use iPads in the family these days)...
Hello - what can you tell me about upgrading the halogen low beams and fogs in a 2016 Yukon SLT? I would like to do LED for ease of installation, but will do HID if the results are better.
I am curious what products CARID sells and would recommend here.
