Well, BB tunes I'm sure do not come with a carb E.O. Sticker/Number, so that gives me hope for my trans tune and oversized tires this next go around. Last time I waited till the last minute to get the smog done so I didn't want to dick around and I put the stock tune back on to ensure that I...
I've run mine on (nearly exclusively) e85 for the last 83,000mi. Never had a cat code on this vehicle. But I did have that o2 sensor issue where the computer reads the ethanol content far lower than it is and it throws a lean code.
But they were aftermarket sensors that works properly for a year...
Haha yeah, ended up driving around for a while in four-wheel drive and letting the front tires pull me. Still haven't taken it apart to figure out what actually broke. But I messed with torque management too much and it shifted into second so hard and apparently the tires had enough traction...
I did get the whole set of lines.
And just over a year ago now, I broke the 8.6 and got a 9.5 out of a Cadillac and put it in.
Literally everything bolted and connected right up.... Now that I think about it, I may have left all of the rear brake lines from the 8.6 on the truck when I dropped...
Did the rear brakes.
Only things I haven't touched on the brake system yet would be master cylinder, ABS unit, and hard lines
Post in thread 'Finally posting a "build" thread. The progression of my stupidity.'...
Got the new raybestos e3 Calipers - Specialty Police Pads - High Carbon Rotors, and Powerstop Braided Brakelines on the rear.
My goodness those lines from the frame to the rear end are hard to access. Ended up dropping the spare, removing my tailpipe, and moving some emissions equipment just to...
I had my rear glass replaced like 6 months ago, by safelite, partially because the stock one had that issue, and also it was scratched pretty bad.
Within a month or two, the new Safelite glass did the same exact thing and I only opened it once or twice. But it popped off while it was sitting...
I always just try to rock them up and down. If it feels tight, good enough for me.
Sometimes they'll start making noise before they get loose though which is even better.
Holy moly, I always give mine a shake when I do tire rotations for peace of mind.
I did replace the passenger side just over 100k when I bought it, it was bad.
The driver side must have been changed before I bought it because it's still good now.
Did some brake things.

Got some new raybestos specialty police pads again since they served me well, and through on some high carbon rotors this time as well as their E3 calipers.
Topped it all off with powerstop braided hoses, unfortunately, they're red.
Bleeding the ABS module is a very annoying process...
Finally wore out the old raybestos specialty police pads after 60,000 miles
The original calipers at 182.5 k Mi we're starting to make a lot of noise and not function properly. One piston was seized. Causing the pads to wear on one side.
The raybestos r300 rotors fared pretty well, for some...
You passed well cammed and catless?
Yeah, visual is also what can get you. Because even though the computer says everything's happy, they could see you did something that's not supposed to be there and being a hole about it and fail you.
Supposedly a year or two ago, they started checking that you have a stock tune or at least one that was made smog legal like the one I have from Whipple.
When I had to get smog last year, I was just going to leave my HP tune on it just to see, but I actually ran out of time and so I just...
Same problem here...
Although we do have some high elevations within an hour or two drive, and those stores typically will sell that stuff... Just a trick to get to it if that's all you need. Haha
