Front wheels toe in under power... a lot!

just so you know, if you have access to a welder and angle grinder, I built a Pitman idler support kit for my duramax for about 60 bucks.

    Tonyrodz's Tahoe Build Thread

I hear you on that. Also, justifying probably 3k on a new engine for a vehicle that is over 13 years old (don't remember exact model year of yours) is hard to do, the cash value of the vehicle just isn't there. Sentimental value probably will make you more willing to drop the cash on it...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Going down to too small of a micron MAY cause drivability issues due to a causing too much pressure differential across the filter.

Tony, if it truly is worst case scenario, I vote long block 6.0 and keep trucking. But mine is just another opinion on the internet.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Threw together an Add-A-Sub over the past couple weekends, buddy at work made a box that hold a single 10" that fits between the second row captains. Made from 3/4 MDF we had laying around at work. Free Audiobahn 10 inch from same guy just sitting in his garage. Bought a second hand 500w...

Cost of rear main seal replacement

My opinion, for what it is worth, is that a leaking seal should not be ignored. However, I am very aware of how budgets and time play a factor into vehicle maintenance. If you do not have the funds, nor the time at the moment to fix it properly, start budgeting for it.

    Might be buying tahoe...

Some things I wish I knew to look at before I bought my 04 Denali with no known service records. Exhaust studs constantly break, can be solved with Kral clamps. However, the permanent solution is always replacement. Oil pan gaskets are issues, replace pickup tube oring at the same time as...

    AC Performance

Tony, haven't seen if you checked the service port valves. When those started leaking on my truck, it was after I checked pressures for a non-op compressor. The non-op compressor happened to be a faulty power connector to the compressor.

    AC Performance

Freely spin may have been a poor choice of words, light resistance may have been better. At any rate, the fan clutch is designed to spin the fan at lower speed when the engine is cool and faster when it is at operating temp, and with engine speed. I also agree with using the condenser cleaner...

    AC Performance

Yes, one would think. When the clutch starts spinning faster with engine speed, and engine tempurature. If your engine temps are normal, and not seeing an increased temp at idle, I suspect it is fine. It should also freely spin when the engine is cool to allow engine temp to increase more rapidly.

Subscribed to this. My compressor is on its way out, but I exhibit symptoms almost identical to this also. My air becomes very comfortable once the truck is moving. Have not had a chance to clean the condenser. Tony, please keep updated with results. I also have a clutched fan.

Agreed, my keys are unloaded to about what I deem "safe". I am am unhappy with it also, lots of body roll which destroyed my sway bar bushings prematurely. Do it right, buy knuckles.

    Ac low side pressure

This is how mine is also. However, I have not had a chance to inspect the system or replace parts as you have. I do know that my compressor sounds like it is dying (clutch drag), perhaps yours is dying like @SnowDrifter suggested.
