@Bombsquad85 I have the McGaughy’s spindles but I had to trim the upper ball joint stud as well. You also have to trim the lower one if you ever plan on running 17” wheels.
Got to put the 4x4 to use last night for the first time in a while. The snow wasn't all that deep, but it was over a sheet of ice so it was pretty slick

I shaved mine as well. Fosscore already gave a great explanation on removal. I welded in a plate and smoothed mine out since the whole thing was getting painted anyway but the plug method sounds like a great alternative as no one is likely ever going to see up there anyway.
