    door latch issues

I believe you are experiencing a fairly common problem /weak point with Chevy trucks... my tahoe and my 97 3/4 ton had the same issue. If I am understanding your problem correctly you will definitely have to replace the assembly. There are several places online where you can purchase the...

    Question about speed/odometer recalibration?

On my 99 Tahoe is there anyway to recalibrate the speedometer and odometer? I am now running 305/55R20's on 20x12's... so I am sure my gauges are not reading correctly. I just checked my gas mileage today, and although I recognized that my speedometer would not be accurate due to my...

98 Tahoe with misfire for cyl 5

Looks like you may have a valve problem. ---------- Post added at 07:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:46 PM ---------- You know... just got to thinking. I wonder if you have a fuel injector problem? I think it's also possible that you have a bad spark plug wire on #5... I'd start...

    Cragar Wheel Decisions...

I like the wheels on chrisau's truck... extended cab. I think those would look great on a tahoe.

Where O Where did my sensor go?

Good thread... I had the same problem last year, but somehow corrected itself. Good to know how to fix the problem.

Need some opinions on these wheels

Those are similar to the wheels I had on my Tahoe... nice looking wheels.

VERY NICE... those rims set it off. That is one of the cleanest looking black truck's I've seen.

2 door tahoe/blazer/yukon if you got one show it off

I love having it paid off. I wouldn't have been able to afford these upgrades if it wasn't! As for the valance... I don't know! I know I never touched it and the previous owner never mentioned a thing.

Right now I am running stock. To tell you the truth, I am not completely disappointed. I think I can live with it for a while, but I can tell that I will definitely need to regear at some point. I am going to check my fuel mileage and try and make a decision from there. I haven't tried to...

Thanks for the compliments!... and I do agree that tall tires look great on a Tahoe. In my opinion, you have to work pretty hard to screw up the looks of a Tahoe. I think they are one of the best looking vehicles (OBS) on the road. I agree with the dirt road comment... it sucks when it comes to...

Thanks for all the compliments and advice guys. I know this truck isn't for everyone, but it's everything I wanted it to be. The 6" lift was perfect and I personally love the look of the wheels and tires. I'm attaching a couple of pictures since I cleaned it up a little.

I am going to try and get some better pics tomorrow... she needs cleaned up. 3 miles of dirt roads and the wheels get a little dusty. It's amazing how a 6" lift plus the right wheel/tire combination can change the entire look of a truck.

I didn't think it was going to happen, but I got my Tahoe back today. On the way to pick it up the power steering pulley on my wife's 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee came off. I had my wife and 7 month old son with me. Luckily, we literally broke down in front of a repair shop... after pushing it into...

Can you crank a 6" down to a 4"? PLEASE HELP ASAP!

Thanks guys... the help is much appreciated. I think I will just wait and see what the truck looks like with the 6" lift. If it has to be turned down an inch or two I am sure I can tackle that. Thanks again - Ray

Can you crank a 6" down to a 4"? PLEASE HELP ASAP!

Just curious... I was under the impression that I needed a 6" lift with my 20X12's wheels with a 305/55-20 tire. I'm now under the impression I do not need to go that high. My Tahoe is being lifted TOMORROW... so my question is can you crank a BDS 6" lift down to a 4" or 5" lift? Or should I...

    Gettin' Fired UP....

I was told that I would need a 6" lift because I'm running 12" wide wheels... not true? I'd love to only raise it 4" instead of 6". ---------- Post added at 09:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:26 PM ---------- Another question... if I have a 6" BDS lift installed can it be cranked down...

    Gettin' Fired UP....

Speaking of fuel mileage... what kind of mpg can I expect with a set 305/55-20's on my truck? I realize that it depends on the vehicle... mine is basically stock other than the above mentioned tires and a 6" lift.
