GM is buying back my Yukon

Boy does it seem that the more boxes you tick, i.e. 4 wheel drive, 6.2 engine/8 speed transmission, extended wheelbase, the more likely you are to get a bad apple out of the bunch. Thought of checking out a regular length SLT Yukon or LTZ/Premier Tahoe? We have a 2015i 4WD LTZ, and were...

    2016 Yukon XL Denali Problem

AUTO is noticeably louder than 2WD on our 2015i Tahoe. But we haven't experienced anything like you describe.

Houston TX area GMC Dealer recommendation?

Since I don't know exactly what level of Yukon you are looking for, I'm just going to give you an example. I searched Cars.com for SLT models of Yukon XLs within 75 miles of a Houston zip code. The cheapest was $58k for a 2WD. Then I found this...

New recall - Transfer Case Module Reprogram Update 28770

For those who have had this bulletin come up, could you please post the specifics on your ride? Trying to narrow down if only certain years, models, engines, transmissions, etc are affected. Thanks.

    New Buyer Questions

Seems to me that more complaints about issues occur with the 6.2 engine and 8-speed transmission. Thought about going with an LTZ Suburban or SLT Yukon? Possibly less risky. It has the 5.3 engine and 6-speed.

New recall - Transfer Case Module Reprogram Update 28770

What are the specs of your ride? I just ran our vin through the recall search and got nothing. I pulled two random vins off the internet for vehicles with 8-speed transmissions to see if that was the link but they didn't show anything either. We have a 2015i LTZ that of course has the 6-speed...

    Service and a new recall??

Like I said, I'm guessing it's because it's not a safety issue. It's just a reprogramming of a malfunctioning system.

Preowned Purchase...2015 Chevy Taho LTZ vs 2015 Yukon Denali?

It also depends on whether or not either of these have the RPO AVF option (2015i model). Do they have the wireless charging on top of the center console? If one has this and not the other, definitely get the one with it. Wireless charging, hands-free hatch, 8-speed tranny on Denali models, and...

    Service and a new recall??

Our 2015 Tahoe received a 4WD system reprogramming not long after we took delivery of it. It was something about the system improperly staying in 4WD all the time in cold weather. I don't recall the specifics. Some 2016s were already on the lot when we got ours so I imagine they may have needed...

    2016 Yukon Denali won't start

This sounds like the wonderful pinched wire issue. Interesting if that is the cause and it was on a 2016: http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=3495

GM Issues 3.6 Million Vehicle Recall for Airbag. Yukon, Tahoe/Subur/Escalade on List

Went down without a hitch here as well. Also had the dealer update the software for the DVD player per this Techlink bulletin: http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=6571 The instructions for checking your software version work well and are easy to follow. I checked it ahead of time and it showed...

    Wheel lock advice

We have a 2015 LTZ with the 20 inch chrome wheels. The accessories page for the Tahoe lists multiple options for wheel locks. http://www.chevrolet.com/tahoe-full-size-suv/accessories.html Anyone who has these, which option is the easiest/best to install on these wheels? Thanks.

Could it be mild spark knock? Are you using 91 octane fuel (and top tier) as instructed?

How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?

Stock 2015i Tahoe LTZ 4WD, March 2015 build, with trailering package and 20 inch chromes. 11k miles and never had a thing resembling this. Also briefly drove a rental 2016 Suburban with the same specs. No sign of this.

    Fusebox label error

Received a packet in the mail from Chevrolet today regarding GM program N150577 for the fusebox label possibly being wrong. They included a new label in the packet and instructed us to remove the old one. The label location is on the inside of the cover for the left side of the instrument...

2015 Yukon engine will not turn off with start/stop button

This isn't an engine related problem. The battery draining and start button failing to work are symptoms of an electrical system problem. Tahoes, Suburbans, and non-Denali Yukons of either length have the 5.3 liter engine that does not need higher than 87 octane fuel. Additionally, higher...

2015 Yukon engine will not turn off with start/stop button

My guess is this may be your issue: http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?s=2015+tahoe+pinched+wire&search=Search Regardless it should definitely be checked out by a dealer. Not being able to shut the vehicle off is a major hazard.

    2015 Tahoe issues

I'm betting that this is the pinched harness on the left side of the instrument panel that I linked to above. Have you printed the Techlink page and presented it to your dealer?
