Im with you Blur - I changed the passenger side on my ‘05 Denali at 110,000. Just can’t get to any on the driver’s side. Now 196,000 and running just fine.
It’s available again in 2021 models - at least GMC. I get the same comments as Rocket Man on my 05 Denali XL – Silver Birch metallic still looks brand new.
That is a great question - my ‘04 Tahoe had all those “expanded” parameters (personal/business, Inst MPG, etc), but my ‘05 Denali does not have them. Don’t know if there is a way to add them or if that is just the way the Denali’s came that year.
My '05 Denali transmission went out at 122,000 miles. Lost reverse and 2nd gears. Local shop rebuilt it for $1400 (he gave me $300 off as a vet). I've put 65.000 more on the rebuild and it's running fine. I say find a local, reputable shop for a rebuild...
Got the right bank changed OK. Can hardly see the left bank plugs, much less pull the wires off and get a wrench on them.
Any tips for changing the left bank plugs?
Jason - I'm not going to be of any help - Last year I took one look at the "Gymnastics" required to work on this one and I took mine to the dealer - $1100. I think the part alone was $700, so the labor was not that outrageous for the nasty job...
