I wish I knew how to get 14 and up in the city like most that posted have said they get. We cant get over 12 with any of ours. Seems to be equally bad in the 5.3 and 6.0's. We just got back from a 750 mile trip to Atlantic City in the 05 Escalade and only got 15.6 on the highway. The 01 Yukon XL...
I am running stock keys. I am running 33's and they rub the inner fender when turning very slow. Usually hear it when parking. I think the 35's may still rub a little with the spacer and keys. I called and talked to tech at performance accessories before buying the kit and he told me I could...
I have not seen you on here before. Adam might have. I kept telling him to ask when he heard something he liked the sound of. He ended up having a muffler shop in Castle Shannon weld in 2 cherry bombs. Sounds good but not as loud as yours. He had a strange system on this compared to our other...
My wife was freaking out saying she was going to be able to smell it. She hates peanut butter. I will have to stop doing this if I find the wild turkeys near the truck. Hopefully they dont like peanut butter. Its a strange thing but it works.
I cheaped out on the Escalade and did a body lift on it. Performance accessories does not list one for Escalade or Denali. I decided to order part number 10113, one for the 00-05 Yukon, Suburban, and Tahoe. Everything matched up except the mount for the tow hooks. I had to cut off the mount...
My steps and the rear bumper steps looks terrible on the trucks. I tried the peanut butter trick on the rear bumper step. So far it worked out great. It was easy to apply and wipe down and it really changed the finish. It has seen about a week and a half of salt and 3 car washes and it still...
I had the same problem with my drivers side. I used the PB Blaster for a day and beat the crap out of the key for about an hour. It finally gave in and came loose. With the key hanging down after unloading it I was able the beat on the front and rear of it. I used a small sledge hammer since the...
Where is the cheapest place to pick up a new emblem for the rear hatch? My 05 ESV came from Texas and the blue and red in the logo is totally faded. The new grill came with the logo so I only need a rear. That and I broke the "S" in Escalade on the door when detailing between the letters. They...
I swapped the wheels and tires on 2 of the trucks. The wheels on the Escalade now dont have the sensors in them. Is there any trick to getting the annoying tire monitor warning to stay off?
I just put 285's on my Escalade without touching the keys. I just barely touch on the rear of the inner fender when the wheels are turned all the way. Cranking the stock keys would let them clear but I am doing a body lift instead.
Update. Everything went good with the lift except the stock rims did not work. I used the trailmaster 6 inch lift. They dont tell you any where that the factory 16 inch wheels wont fit with the new spindles. The inner edge or the wheel hits the caliper. I just ground a small notch in the caliper...
I agree with the caliper hanging up. My F-350 had the same symptom and thats what I found to be wrong with it. I replaced it and all went back to normal.
I just found out I have access to a set off a 1999 GMC Yukon Denali for free. Is the 99 Denali considered the NBS? I know the Suburban in 1999 was still OBS.
I am looking for a set of running boards for my 2004 Escalade (base model). It didnt have any on when I got it. Will boards and brackets be the same on 02-06? I want to check around craigslist and salvage yards but dont want to buy the wrong thing.
Automatic headlight sensitivity
Is there an adjustment to the lights. None of my trucks come on automatic until it is really dark. The older cadillac cars had adjustments right on the switch but I have not found any way to adjust them on the trucks.
Has any one done any modifications to your stock Escalade head lights. I love the brightness of the stock hid lights. I also like how a lot of new vehicles have led lighting for running lights. I am not a fan of the aftermarket lights that I have found for these vehicles. Is the stock headlight...
My lifted ones.
The black one is a 2003 Yukon XL 1500 with a 3 inch body lift.
The white one is a 2001 Yukon XL 2500 that I just finished putting a 6 inch Trailmaster lift on for my son.
I just finished installing a 6 inch suspension lift on my 2001 Yukon XL 2500. Anyone know if 37x12.5-18 will fit. I found a set on Craiglist and its a bit of a drive. Worth the drive if I know they will fit. The rims were being used on a H2 Hummer previously.
Yes it is like a big c-clamp. I ended up not needing the tool. Every thing I read had me worried about the pressure on the torsion bar. I just backed the adjusting bolt out all the way. The pins both slipped right out without having to use any type of clamp.
I am putting a suspension lift on my 2001 Yukon XL. None of the auto parts stores have the torsion key tool for loan or rental. Anyone have any pics of a tool that you made or an idea what I can do? If this is the wrong area to post this please move to the right one.
Thanks, I need to find someone around home that has a magnaflow. I would like to hear them in person. Just bought a Escalade ESV also for my wife yesterday so now I need something for that truck too. I cant stand a stock muffler on trucks.
