air inlet grill (trim piece around antenna)

The cowl trim piece around my antenna failed. One of the posts with the metal insert snapped off sometime in the past year or two. I decided to buy a new one from GM https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/gm-panel-asm-air-inl-grl-marked-p-15753702.html I did this because I don't really want to...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Replaced the grill. The OEM grill was just worn enough to detract from its looks.

    luggage rack blankoff cover?

Took the Yukon in for paint. They forgot to remove the masking tape on the luggage rack tracks, which got me to thinking. I don't remember seeing those tracks (this Yukon ordered way back when specifically without racks). I'm wondering if there were blank off or cover plates over the tracks...I...

    Old remote cassette player removal

This is a stone cold simple project but I'm going to throw it out there to help anyone tired of looking at an old remote cassette player. It cost me $10 for the part from Amazon, took 25 minutes, and fits perfect. It would have taken 10 minutes at most if I'd had a 7mm (9/32") socket vice using...

    Passenger seat foam replacement

I'm having the seats recovered, seemed like a good idea to replace the foam.

    Passenger seat foam replacement

You know, he said he was checking for a new number and then found the "discontinued" message I found everywhere so I didn't follow closely enough. No NOS available either. I'll call again later today and see if I can get the new number. Not very hopeful as I'm getting the same story everywhere...

    Passenger seat foam replacement

They do, but not the passenger side foam. Driver side is there, using the GM parts number and at nearly twice the price of the GM online parts places.

    Passenger seat foam replacement

I have an upholstery guy who's going to redo the front bucket seats, but I have to find the foam. All of the online sources use PN 12473282, however, that's not what the licensed part system shows. That shows PN 12478890 -- discontinued. Anyone know if 12473282 will work?

    Tow/Haul won't engage

I did a continuity check on the old lever before pulling it. The jumping to activate just verified everything else seemed operational. Maybe overkill but it's easier IMHO to jump that one harness than try to hold the multimeter leads while pushing the button (probably an amateur error....). If I...

    Tow/Haul won't engage

I read that it can either be pinched with the tilt or it just fatigues from working the shift lever.

    Tow/Haul won't engage

This seems to be a common problem based on all the videos out there. There's a wire that runs inside the transmission shift lever from the button. As it comes out of the lever it goes under the steering column and to a connector on the left side. That wire gets pinched sometimes and fails or it...

    Fuel injector wear

Hi, I have a 2000 GMC Yukon with the 5.3, just went over 200k miles last week. Running like a top, no codes, no issues that I know of. Well maintained its entire life. Do I need to worry about the fuel injectors wearing? I'm not seeing any fuel trim issues when I scan the sensors. Thanks, Boz
