Dual battery or hi output alternator?

You could get a dual or triple bracket and run 2-3 stock alts. The stock alts put out pretty good at idle. You could run 3 stock alts for the price of 1 HO alt and have WAY more output at idle. The stock alt is also cheap and reliable. I would NOT have a factory alt hot wound or buy a...

DOes anybody have amp install pics

Like above, you dont want to screw into the metal that is why you would want to mount to a board. You could get a ground noise if not. I have my monoblocks currently mounted on the enclosure and my dsc4125 (mids) & dsc480 (highs) are under the seat. Old set up under the seat, but same idea...

z71 coil vs non z71 coil

Thanks buddy! I actually have some of the airlift bags and had them in when I had the 1.5" spacers, but I was hesitant to put them in with the 3" spacers. I think a slightly taller, stiffer spring could help in the back of mine if only for the ride. Lots of weight back there and even my...

z71 coil vs non z71 coil

Mind if I ask how much they set you back and if you have a part number for the Z71 springs? I could use the extra height as well as the additional load capacity for my uncontrollable audio addiction. I have 3" coil spacers and i am still 1/2" low in the back. lol :)

    ?'s about installing (2) 12" L7's n zx1500.1

If it was me, I would do the big 3 in 0 and upgrade the 4ga to 0 from the front bat to the amp or dist block. This is a must, IMO. You will most likely need a second bat to keep the voltage up, but I would try it without first and keep an eye on it. Good luck on your install!

newbie: 6.5 components as front speakers, need help with placement

I have used the Q Logic in the past and they are nice, but can be better. They are pretty flimsy as is. Take some sound deadener or non hardening model clay and put it on the backside then cut a MDF ring to go on the backside of the 6.5 cutout. These 2 mods will make them MUCH heavier and...

    Audio Upgrade Time

Actually the chart was to clarify this comment "Since subs are picking up about 80% of the drum kit and 90% of the BASS guitar" is incorrect. Sub Bass is 60hz and down, is non directional and their wavelengths are long - 20 feet at 55 Hz, for example. Ideally, You want your front...

    Audio Upgrade Time

Um.... No and LMAO to pretty much EVERYTHING you typed except the part where you agreed they do not put speakers behind you at a concert. Apparently you sit between the drummer and bassist. :waytogo: I was speaking about the audience that the band is performing for. Should have clarified that I...

    Audio Upgrade Time

Not true. Why don't they put speakers behind you at a concert? I would spend all the cash you have on one NICE set of comps for the front. Bridge or bi-amp your 4ch to them and drive happy. There is no wall that stops the rear passengers from hearing what you have up front.

The one thing that rattles with bass!

Mine kept falling out so I epoxied it in. Silicone would work too. Take it apart and add it where plastic meets plastic.

I had to cut the lower bumper molding 3/4 - 1", cant tell it was cut really. Inside the front fenders is where I had to do most of the cutting. I didnt remove it all, lol it's not that bad. I will take a pic for you today if it stops raining.

    To all with 35s

I had to trim a good bit with 35's on 20's. They are the stock offset so should be about the same as you. I kept a box cutter in my glove box and when it rubbed I would hop out and slice the shiny spot. lol
