Question about tires 285/45/22 vs 305/40/22

The only difference you will notice between 305s and 285s is the 305s really like to run in the rain grooves and move around alot. I did the same thing as you and could not figure out why 305s were so much cheaper than 285s. I bought 305s, LOL.

I want a lowering springs and torsion keys

I know this is an old thread, but I have what you need. 2" belltech spindles and 5" rear springs with 1" spacers. I also have all the rods for the auto-ride if you need them. I have never used the front spindles, BRAND NEW. I put the springs in the rear with spacers and let the torsion bars...

What Have You beaten In A Race??

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Denali, but my duramax will whoop its ASS! We went to the lake today and I got to mess with a (I assume) stock 2500HD on some 2 lanes from stoplight to stoplight. I was pulling my 5000lb boat and kept gettin him by a truck length from stoplight to stoplight! He...

    duramax yukon-

The frame actually does not need any work....it is mostly all in the trans hump and core support. The core is about 2" taller for the intercooler and radiator and the hump is not near big enough for an Ally to fit under. The guy in Apopka has a website and is on "the Dieselplace.com" under...

    duramax yukon-

Well, it has been done a few times. There is a guy in Apopka FL, that has been putting d-maxes in everything. He has all the bugs worked out and they are F-N SICK! Here is a link to one of his rigs on E-bay..........If you are serious, HANG ONTO YOUR WALLET...

Installed lifted torsion keys..are they in right??

I am gonna have to measure my Duramax, but it is probably over 50" to the fender lip on the front......7-9" cognito set at about 8.5" and 37x13.50x20 Toyo M/T's. I am going to buy some 35x12.50s on 16x10s for my winter wheels, thinking about going with the black teflon with some BFG AT's...

Installed lifted torsion keys..are they in right??

Hey....no sweat. I really have not messed with the 99-06 1/2 ton stuff that much. Mostly all 3/4 ton, and you can't gain 2 1/2" on them without really messing up the front geometry. Mainly droop. This is the reason for the cognito UCA's, they have a different bend and are a little longer to...

Installed lifted torsion keys..are they in right??

OK, I am a new guy here and I will try not to step on any toes. I have lifted probably 20 GM IFS trucks over the years and have seen all kinds of crap. The thing to look for on the front suspension is droop or down travel. When you crank bars or change cams the upper control arm gets closer...

    PSI with 22"s ??

Well... I went ahead and left them at 38 and all seems well! I pulled my heavy ass boat to the lake with it on sunday and checked the tires when I got there. Nice and warm, not too hot. I say screw it, I am gonna try 38 for a while and then maybe drop back to 36. I still have to get some...

    PSI with 22"s ??

What kind of pressure are you guys running in your 22's? The tire shop set mine at 45 and today I lowered them to 38 and they ride and drive quite a bit better. I was just curious what everybody else is running.

    Need some suggestions on leveling....

That was the plan, thought it might ride just a touch softer if I let them down a lil bit. I am really liking this Denali, but my duramax with 37's rides better.

    Need some suggestions on leveling....

:cool:Okay, I am sure this has been beat to death, but I want to drop the rear of my Denali 3". What is the best kit to get that has EVERYTHING...shock extenders, autoride rods and a nice riding set of rear springs? Oh yeah, and cheap too? I think I have everything figured out, just not sure...

    New guy from mid-so IL

Hey all, found this forum a couple of weeks ago and figured I would join up. I am on a couple of diesel forums and this one looks and feels like a good one! I will try to post up some pics of both my rides when they are clean at the same time.....not very often. Brian
