The more weight the more strain on the drivetrain. Although we can assume GMC under reports the max tow capacity for liability reasons, I agree with the above statement of staying within the limits for safety and warranty purposes. The biggest issue with towing weight is not the acceleration...
I have had the center screen on my Tahoe Infotainment:
•Not turn on at all until a reboot of the vehicle.
•Lockup in between menus for approximately 10 minutes, or certain menu's were not accessible until reboot of vehicle.
•Backup guides stay on while driving forward and overlay on other...
I have a 2015 LT and love it. Only thing I wish my LT had versus the LTZ is the blind spot monitors and the forward sensors. I could a got em in a package but didn't want to spend the extra money.
Went to the dealer parts counter, to add the factory fog lights is going to cost a fortune. 2 new front light wiring harnesses that have the pigtails for the fog lights - $200ish each. 2 fog light housings - $100ish each. Instrument panel wiring harness - $200ish. Plus the reostat switch...
So we started noticing that whenever my wife or I depressed the brake pedal the 2nd and 3rd row reading lights would strobe on and off once. Really annoying at night as they are quite bright. Like there's a photographer in the back seat with the flash on.
Took it to dealer and they were able...
So do you reuse the plate from the tahoe with the Silverado mirrors? Because the plastic part of the mirror that sits on the door isn't the same. On the silverado, where the A pillar meets the hood, it has a vertical portion before angling up to follow the A pillar. The Tahoe doesn't do this...
I looked last time I was at the dealer and the plate that is on the door is shaped differently on the Tahoe and Silverado. But that was a quick eyeball measurement

Not sure who makes your trailer, and that may not matter. But! If you do have to winch it out, be careful of the tongue wheel, you'll rip it off if it isn't supported across the dirt. Wheel will catch a rut.

2 400lb skis on a trailer is gonna be tough to walk out, with very little slow and if you are Eau on the throttle you shouldn't have any problems in 2wd

Fixing 4wd cost prohibitive? Not sure what the consistency of the sand is, but if it's normal hard pack for Arizona you may be ok I'd you take it easy on the gas. How steep is the drop off in the water?

This is the first vehicle I have owned with an infotainment setup. The only time I really notice the lag is when I try to change menus right after I start the vehicle and it can lock up for about 5 seconds. Again, being an IT Guy my bias for faster computerized systems may be affecting my...
