    Salvage yard trouble/Arm rests

Thanks guys. I should add too that when I found them online they were still installed on the vehicle doors so they had to be removed before shipping.

    Salvage yard trouble/Arm rests

Question for the masses. Wondering if I have much of a leg to stand on just move on. I'll try to explain this the best I can. I had been searching for replacement arm rests for my rear passenger doors because several mount points are broken off. I have pieces that I could try gluing them...

    High side AC port issue

Was out there messing around with tonight. Haven't figured out what's up the compressor not cycling or the climate control working the way it does. But the rear AC is functional now. Not really sure why because I didn't do anything to it.

    High side AC port issue

I got oil added to the system and got it charged so I now have functioning AC. However I'm short on charge. I got 36 ounces and the spec is 2.7 pounds (43.2 ounces). I have enough to add for it to be full. I stopped though because the compressor stopped cycling. It's just running...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Tonight I got the AC charged and replaced a squeaky pulley on the accessory drive belt tensioner.

    High side AC port issue

I got the accumulator and the line swapped out, and changed that stupid ball valve out for a port with a Schrader valve. The system is maintaining vacuum so thats good. I went to charge it tonight and found out I dont have enough refrigerant here and then later realized that I need to add oil...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

@blueinkd did you do the front and rear sway bars as well or just the bushings? Sway bars is kind of on a list of things to do in the future once I get other issues and things sorted out.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

@clandr1 I had the understanding that there was just a certain wire harness that was needed to retain steering wheel controls.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Replaced the receiver drier for the AC tonight and put a vacuum on the system. It seems to be holding so tomorrow I should be able to charge the system.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Replaced the liquid AC line, alternator and wiper blades. Had to dodge some rain this afternoon to get it all done while smoking a chuck roast too.

    Bilstein Conversion

Was doing some looking here earlier this week. I wonder if they would be Monroe like these.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The pressure hose on the power steering was leaking in a couple spots last night so I picked up a replacement hose this morning and got it changed this afternoon.

    High side AC port issue

@RAMurphy Is it best to go with OEM parts for these? I can find what looks to be the line I need on Rock Auto but the part number doesn't match what I'm finding in a GM parts breakdown.

Tail light junction box - upgrades?

Does anyone know if these junction blocks have a tendency to fail? I had mine pulled out and was checking continuity across pins and things seemed to check out ok. There was a bit of corrosion on a couple pins though and the previous owner had filled all the connector cavities with dielectric...

@OR VietVet i was looking at them today and couldn't see any indication on manufacturer.

    Bilstein Conversion

So I'm looking at doing Bilstein 5100's myself as probably the next big project here. I've watched a couple videos and all I've seen show the rear shocks not having coil over springs. Mine do though. Does anyone else? The Bilsteins don't seem to come with coil overs. What i could find for a...

    High side AC port issue

So was doing a little research on the issue at hand. Turns out that the OE ball valve is a one time thing in that it fails after having gauges hooked up. Makes sense because I had gauged on a couple days ago to get an idea what system pressures were doing because the compressor was cycling so...

    High side AC port issue

@OR VietVet I do have the tool to remove the Schrader valve, just not the socket for the port. But the valve is covered by this little black cap so I can't actually get at it

    High side AC port issue

@OR VietVet I'm guessing a constant leak because if I don't even have the high side hose hooked up I'm losing vacuum pressure through the port. I can feel it with my finger over the port.

    High side AC port issue

@swathdiver don't have the socket right now but can get one. The concern that I have though is that with using what I was to try taking the port off seemed like was going to twist the line.

    High side AC port issue

Or am I wrong thinking that the port comes off the line?

    High side AC port issue

I went to to troubleshoot why my AC doesn't seem to function right and when I pulled off the dust cap for the high side port the refrigerant leaked out. So I picked up a repair kit this afternoon that has a new port and valve cores but I can't get the old port off the line. I have a vacuum...

    Right side windows not working

I may be a little late here but my switch for the drivers door wasn't working very well. I removed the switch and completely disassembled it and cleaned the circuit boards and rubber membrane with rubbing alcohol. The boards were definitely dirty and had a kind of grimy feel in some spots...

Tail light junction box - upgrades?

My passenger side tail light, brake light and reverse light aren't working. What I've found so far is that it seems to be caused by the junction box for the rear tail lights because I've got at least one broken wire there and possibly others that need to be repaired. Some looks like could have...
