Just had my dealer swap my factory CrossContacts for the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. Within a couple dollars of the discount guys so no brainer for ease. My “local” guy was cheapest but his little shop doesn’t have equipment to mount 20” wheels. Now just gotta sell my factory set - brand new...
I’m in the process of taking off the factory Continental CrossContacts on my new ‘22 SLT and going with Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. Had run the Michelin’s AT’s and Defenders in past but really wanted a more aggressive look that is also decent on hiway and great in snow. Think I really found it...
@Budcat - How'd you like the CrossContact's? How'd they do in snow? I've had a few sets of the Michelin Defender LTX on my 2010 Yukon - great tire, good in snow, long tread life! Can't go wrong with them... Getting a new '22 Yukon and now debating going a little more agressive for best snow...
UPDATE - I started this thread back in September (Ordered 9/13). Got a TPW in mid-Oct of 12/6. Today GM chat told me vehicle produced on schedule last week! Event code 4300 so hopefully missing the chip hold lot (fingers crossed). Now just need to confirm if I ended up with heated...
Psyched to hear you like the AT4-4S.... I've done the last 150K on Michelin defenders but doing more skiing now so really pondering swapping my new Conti Crosscontact LX20 that's coming on my new SLT for the Coopers for better snow performance. Did you find them too loud or reasonable...
Id say wait. I ordered mid Sept - have a TPW of 12/6…. Or now that GMC has both 21/22 on web search here - saw a few unsold in transit. Maybe you’ll get lucky and find one that checks all the boxes….

I've got a SLT Yukon that was ordered in Sept - accepted by GM in Oct with a TPW of 12/6. It was ordered with MAX TOW. Seeing that is now possibly constrained I wonder if because they had enough chips back in Oct they gave me a TPW - or - will it be built and then parked in chip hold?!?!
What is the Goodyear model that GM is shipping non at4’s with. Not a huge fan of Goodyear. Been running the Michelin LTX on my 2010. On 2nd set. Easily get 60k miles. Smooth. Quiet.
What model Goodyear is GM shipping on new 21/22 Yukon’s SLT’s from the factory? 20”
Any feedback from anyone on their performance. I’m not a huge fan of Goodyear so pondering a swap when I take delivery. Thx
Anyone have interior pics of the Dark Walnut / Slate interior on a 21/22 SLT? Going with the Midnight Blue metallic exterior and excited for a rich two tone interior vs boring black. Couple more months till she’s built - getting excited and hoping to see some pics.
I ordered mine 9/13 - well equipped SLT trim. Although retail website only has ‘21 info my salespersons screen had all the ‘22 pricing a month ago…. I got my 6 digit order number before I left dealer. The order did take about 4 weeks for GM to accept. Likely both due to limited dealer...
An order # just means your dealer input to the system.... To move forward your dealer must have an open/available allocation for the vehicle you ordered and GM must have no constraints (options or standard items that are unavailable these days preventing your vehicle from being built) hindering...
Good ? - Hard to know for sure if GM is prioritizing Denali's or the local dealers with limited allocations are prioritizing submitting Denali's as they are more profitable or what the true delays really are - likely so many possibilities and probably some truth to all of them combined, LOL! I...
I keep hearing mixed opinions on max tow holding up order acceptance - I selected it on my SLT as I want the 2 speed xfer case. Max tow is standard on Denali so maybe they’re saving that option parts for the more profitable trim…. Not sure we’ll ever know what really going on. Lol. Just...
Any truth to this post on the ‘21/22 Yukon Facebook page that orders are no longer being taken for ‘22 Yukon’s.

Wondering if they are prioritizing the Denali’s? I’ll have to ask about the sliding console as I could give that up to speed the build. Going from 2nd row bench to the bucket seats in this new car so thought the sliding console was cool to send drinks back to the kiddos. Lol
SLT 4x4. 5.3. Prem pkg with max tow. 2nd row bucket. Stnd 20” wheels. Slide console. What did you build? Either I have constraints or my dealer doesn’t have any current allocation….
When ordering a ‘22 Yukon SLT 4c4 with the 5.3L gas does the transfer case come with both 4-high and 4-low or do you have to order the max tow pkg to get the 2 speed transfer case. Can anyone confirm??? Thx
