I got my recall done the week the original notice was published. It's an absolute tragedy that so many people died in Rangers / Civics because owners were too lazy to get the shrapnel filled airbags replaced.
When our trucks came from the factory the oil pressure gauge sat 40 PSI at idle and would move up to 60 under acceleration.
You've already unstuck a lifter so more than likely your engine is on the way out.
You can replace your Oil Pickup tube O ring and even the oil pump but you're at the...
If you want to make it exciting you don't have to pull the wheel / fender.
You'll cut your hands up a bit but when I had to do mine on the side of the road it worked.
Thank you for the diagram!
The photo is a comparison of the two upstream O2 sensors the app just names them funny. Left is Bank 1 S 1 right is Bank 2 S 1.
Bank 2 is also unable to report on a short term fuel trim.
Hey all,
Need some help as my inspection is due.
I've been getting an intermittent P1153 code indicating my upstream O2 Upstream Passenger Sensor 2 Bank 1 was going out so I replaced it with a new AC Delco unit.
After replacement I'm seeing the same issues and when I do a voltage scan it's...

For whatever reason some of us are unlucky and our trucks just don't enjoy idling. I tried almost everything you can think of and to this day I still get the...
If the misfire is on the exhaust side lifters I don't believe it throws a CEL.
I've tuned my truck to a higher idle to reduce the rough idle but I'm fairly sure there's an issue with a lifter / the cam on my exhaust side which is why I never get a CEL
According to the 2009 Brochure: The trailer weight is 5400 2WD and 5700 4WD. If that Tahoe has the Heavy Duty Tow Package those numbers move to 8,400 and 8200.
So it's going to depend on your needs / if this Tahoe is optioned with the Tow Package.
Used a DiabloSport to increase my idle by 150 and it feels like I'm driving an entirely new truck.
I think I still need to tackle the oil pump at some point, but the change is pretty dramatic.
